Laptop: Acer Nitro ANV15-51

I have tried updating all drivers, completely reinstalled windows and updated bios after this issue, nothing fixed, drained battery, opened up and cleaned the laptop, put the power plan to efficiency mode.

Here are the details:

  • BIOS Version: INSYDE Corp. V1.31 (dated 27/06/2025) (updated after issue)
  • Laptop Age: 2 years
  • Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
  • Updated Windows and all drivers
  • Update and Reset BIOS to default settings
  • Reinstalled NitroSense and NVIDIA GPU drivers
  • Attempted EC reset
  • Tried third-party fan control software — none could detect or control the GPU fan
  • The fan runs at full speed even in BIOS, and GPU temperatures are normal (~40–50°C)

I have full control over the CPU fan through Nitrosense, but GPU fan is not in control.

f your Nitro ANV15‑51 GPU fan runs at full speed even when temps are low, it’s likely a firmware/EC issue. Try a hard reset, BIOS update, or contact Acer support if under warranty.

So, I'm experiencing mood swings on my laptop perhaps, launching it after an hour, the fans start slow, stay slow for a minute or two and then spin to max speed, and then go slow and max consequently, till at one point it stays at max speed, making all the noise
