Laptop: Acer Nitro ANV15-51
Didn't turn off the laptop yesterday night only to notice the laptop making huge noise. Though I have previously let it run overnight, even continuously for 3 days, but there was never an issue. Though in my previous posts, I have encountered a few problems with Nitrosense, but all of them had been rectified.
I have tried updating all drivers, windows and bios after this issue, nothing fixed, drained battery, opened up and cleaned the laptop.
Here are the details:
- BIOS Version: INSYDE Corp. V1.31 (dated 27/06/2025) (updated after issue)
- Laptop Age: 2 years
- Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- Updated Windows and all drivers
- Reset BIOS to default settings
- Reinstalled NitroSense and NVIDIA GPU drivers
- Attempted EC reset
- Tried third-party fan control software — none could detect or control the GPU fan
- The fan runs at full speed even in BIOS, and GPU temperatures are normal (~40–50°C)
I have full control over the CPU fan through Nitrosense, but GPU fan is not in control.
