I have just bought Aspire Lite 13gen 13420h, 16gb gen5 RAM, 512gb SDD and on board graphic card (which I know is 8gb UHD). But I want to know TGP of my graphic card, how do I find it. Also what generation my SDD is, how to find? No info available anywhere.

Secondly, under my intel graphics software widget/App in start menu Under Frame synchronization, image sharpening should be on or off? Also in 3D rendering, Adaptive Tessellation should be on or off?

Lastly, in the same above app, under notification I got a message to uninstall legacy version of software such as Intel Arc Control and Intel Graphics Command Center from windows via the add/remove software menu while IGS is installed. The message further states, having multiple user interfaces configured at once may cause conflict. So what should I do in this case? Should I uninstall mentioned above and at the same time what should I install in their place? Kindly let me know. I did not initiate IGS installation in the first place…

Also would like to know, shouldn't PC be completely tuned from your end before selling to the customer. How are we suppose to know such a detailed info about the software installation ?

    Hi Djosh20,

Congratulations on your new Aspire Lite 13th Gen laptop! Let's address your queries step by step:

    1. GPU TGP (Total Graphics Power)

Your system utilizes Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics. Intel does not publicly disclose the TGP for integrated GPUs, as it's dynamically managed based on workload and thermal conditions. Typically, integrated GPUs like the Iris Xe have a TGP ranging from 15W to 28W, depending on the specific model and workload. For precise information, you might need to monitor power consumption using tools like Intel's Power Gadget or HWInfo during intensive tasks.

    2. SSD Generation

Your laptop is equipped with a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. While specific generation details (e.g., PCIe 3.0 or 4.0) are not always specified by manufacturers, you can determine this using software tools:

    • CrystalDiskInfo: This tool provides detailed information about your SSD, including its interface and generation.
    • HWInfo: Offers comprehensive hardware details, including storage interfaces.

By running these tools, you can ascertain the exact specifications of your SSD.

    3. Intel Graphics Settings

    • Frame Synchronization: Enabling this feature can help reduce screen tearing during gaming or video playback by synchronizing the frame rate with your display's refresh rate.
    • Image Sharpening: Turning this on can enhance visual clarity, especially on lower-resolution displays, by improving edge definition.
    • Adaptive Tessellation: This setting dynamically adjusts the level of detail in 3D models based on their distance from the camera, helping to balance performance and visual quality.

For optimal performance, you might want to experiment with these settings to see what works best for your usage.

    4. Software Conflicts

The message you received indicates that having multiple Intel graphics management tools installed can cause conflicts. To resolve this:

    • Uninstall: Remove any legacy Intel software like Intel Arc Control or Intel Graphics Command Center from the "Add or Remove Programs" menu.
    • Install: Ensure that only the latest Intel Graphics Command Center is installed, which you can download from the Microsoft Store.

This will help prevent software conflicts and ensure optimal performance.

    5. System Tuning Before Sale

It's common for laptops to come with default settings optimized for general use. However, for personalized performance tuning, you might consider:

    • Intel XTU (Extreme Tuning Utility): Allows for fine-tuning of CPU settings.
    • Intel Graphics Command Center: Provides options to adjust graphics settings.

Always ensure that any modifications are within safe operating parameters to avoid system instability.

If you have further questions or need assistance with specific settings, feel free to ask!
