I’ve done a ton of research and I just want to know if these parts will be compatible with my PC. I have the Acer Predator Orion 5000 po5 640 UR11. I just want to upgrade the SSD and the DDR. The picture below is what I have picked out. Would they work out okay? Or is there another brand I should get instead? Thank you!

    Hello @FourGiveMeNot

Your PO5‑640 UR11 uses standard DDR5 desktop memory and PCIe NVMe M.2 2280 SSDs, so upgrades in those categories are straightforward as long as you match the specs:

    For DDR5 RAM:

    • Choose 1.1 V modules, up to the speed supported by your CPU/motherboard (see table below).
    • Install matching capacities/speeds per channel for best performance, the new BIOS does allow DDR5-4800MT/s type ram to be used with XPM overclocking bios setting.

    For SSD:

    • The main M.2 slot supports PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe 2280 drives.
    • Stick with reputable brands (Samsung 980 Pro/990 Pro, WD Black SN850X, Crucial P5 Plus, Kingston KC3000).
    • For your OS drive, go PCIe 4.0; for bulk storage, a PCIe 3.0 drive is fine if cost matters.
