I have a swift 3, SF314-51 with an SSDPEKKW256G7 600P Series 256GB M.2 2280 NVMe PCI Express 3.0 x4 SSD. I want to upgrade my SSD to a 500GB PCIe v4 but i cant find any details about my laptop supporting that. Does anyone know?

Surley v4 is backwards compatible, but I don't wanna spend money on v4 if it doesn't give me any benefits.

thx

Below is the info about the SSD:

No, the Acer Swift SF314-51 does not support PCIe 4.0 SSDs. While it does support NVMe SSDs, they will operate at PCIe 3.0 speeds.

You can replace the SSD in your laptop with a larger (either 256GB or 512GB) SSD 1TB (no second slot)
