Acer Predator Helios Neo 18 (PHN18-71) BIOS 1.17 + Acer Components update – HUGE improvement

I’d like to share my experience with Predator Helios Neo 18 (i9-14900HX, PHN18-71) after updating to BIOS v1.17 (from Acer’s official website, using serial number check).

Key improvements:

After BIOS 1.17 + updated Acer Components (via WUMT_x64), the laptop runs much more stable.

Predator Sense modes now work correctly (Balanced / Performance / Turbo).

Fans are no longer capped at 3000 rpm:

Turbo: 0 → ~6000 rpm

High Performance: 0 → ~4500 rpm

Balanced: up to ~3000–3500 rpm

Fans dynamically adjust to temperature changes → finally proper cooling behavior.

Overall performance feels smoother with less throttling and better thermals.
