Hi @JustA If the laptop is still under warranty, take it to Acer Services in your country to have the fans checked.

If you’re certain a fan is faulty, you can replace it yourself — it’s a straightforward DIY job (about 20 minutes) and inexpensive.

A quick way to check if a laptop fan is faulty:

    1. Listen for operation — power on and place your ear near the exhaust; a working fan should produce a steady whir.
    2. Feel for airflow — place your hand near the vents; little to no airflow when the system is warm may indicate a problem.
    3. Check with software — tools like HWMonitor or SpeedFan can display fan RPM; a constant “0 RPM” when under load suggests failure.
    4. Visual inspection — with the laptop safely opened, see if the fan spins freely when gently nudged (system off). Grinding, stiffness, or wobble means it should be replaced.

If in doubt, and especially if under warranty, have Acer Services confirm the diagnosis before taking further action.
