Hi - my kid dropped his chromebook unfortunately - just out of the warranty period - and broke the screen (rest is working fine). I can't see anything on the Acer website re hardware repairs outside of warranty periods. Does anyone have recommendations for where to send an Acer chromebook for a screen repair (beyond me hoping for the best from a generic local computer shop)? I'm Austin based but perhaps there's a good repair shop with many branches or alternatively where you send it in by mail? Any advice gratefully received! Many thanks

A screen replacement is not a big job and any competent qualified tech can do this swap job of a broken screen, it would be helpful if you told us which Acer ChromeBook model you have, as and if its a new ChroeBook then its model number should be something like a CBG516-2H but not exactly, as that would help us to give you the exact Acer screen part number and you could buy the screen and just get a tech to fit the new screen.

So give us more information as any qualified technician in your area could do this job or get a quote from Acer Tech Support in Austin Texas (btw that is where this community is administered from) as Acer has to get this laptop fixed. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
