I tried to check the Nvidia video card and VRAM through the mats test, but I can't run the mats on UEFI. I'm trying to switch UEFI on Legacy, but there is no such offer.

Please tell me how to fix this or give me advice on how to check the video card and its RAM in a different way.

    Hi @Duxurn ,

For quick GPU and VRAM checks, tools like HWiNFO64 can help confirm whether the system is detecting the card properly, plus there are many other stress‑test and monitoring utilities you can try to verify stability under load.

That said, Error Code 43 on the GTX 1060 can also be driver‑related. I recommend removing the current NVIDIA driver and installing the OEM‑supplied version for your PH315‑51 from Acer’s support page rather than using the generic package from NVIDIA.com. . The Acer build is tuned for your exact GPU/firmware combination and often resolves initialization errors that the generic installer leaves untouched.

Did you mean that you are trying to do the NVIDIA MODS tests for the GTX1060 gpu to find out if its got faults which is called MATS, that tests memory specifically. Follow this link WIKI HERE and see if it will work, as I've never ever used this old memory benchmarking, as its made for RTX3000 and below cards. Good luck.

To fix NVIDIA GTX 1060 Error Code 43 on an Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-51, start by uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics drivers. If that doesn't work, try updating the BIOS, performing a system restore, or checking for hardware issues.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:-

    1. Driver Issues:
Uninstall and Reinstall Drivers: Error Code 43 often stems from driver problems. Completely uninstall the NVIDIA drivers using Device Manager (search for it in the Start menu).
Uninstalling>> the drivers, then downloading and installing the latest version from Nvidia's website or using a driver update tool like Driver Easy can resolve the issue.
Driver Identifier: Use a driver identifier tool like Driver Identifier to scan for and update outdated or missing drivers.
Roll Back Drivers: If the error started after a recent driver update, try rolling back to a previous version.
    2. BIOS and System Issues:
Update BIOS: An outdated BIOS can sometimes cause compatibility issues. Check Acer's website for the latest BIOS update for your specific laptop model and follow their instructions for updating.
    System Restore:
If the error is recent, try restoring your system to a previous state where the graphics card was working correctly.
    Safe Mode:
Boot into Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. If the error doesn't appear in Safe Mode, it could indicate a software conflict.
    3. Hardware Check:
Power Reset: A power reset can sometimes clear up minor glitches. Turn off the laptop completely, unplug it, and hold the power button down for 60 seconds. Then, plug it back in and turn it on.
Hardware Issues: Error Code 43 can also indicate a hardware problem with the graphics card. If the above steps don't work, it's recommended to have the laptop inspected by a qualified technician.
