I have a nitro v15 anv15 51 i5 13420h laptop with 4050, the problem is that I have already changed the charger for a 180w one and I still have the problem that during gaming sessions it discharges, does someone please have a solution, I think it's all in the bios, the laptop does not draw more current from the charger no matter how much I use it and it's a bit stupid, I've tried everything and nothing works I have to play for a while and then after 2 hours remove the game let it load, I say that the solution is not to throttling I already did repasting the game with the graphics at 56 degrees and the cpu at 75 degrees approximately, with even low consumption it continues to lose charge 30W cpu and 60W graphics, I have to be adjusting the FPS in the games otherwise the laptop literally discharges when connected, it is not a problem of windows optimization nor is it a solution to put it in quiet because then why would I want a gaming laptop if I'm going to be limiting the capacity

I have had many problems since I bought it and few solutions. I am at the point of simply selling it and never buying anything from ACER again.

    Hi @hanzel0208,

This is normal behavior and by design on Nitro V15:

Modern laptops use an IC called Hybrid Power Boost (HPB) charge controller (aka buck-boost DC-DC). It allows battery work (discharge energy) with the adapter to supply the system load when it exceeds the power level capability. This helps the system to provide a constant output voltage, and minimizes the overloading of the input power source when the CPU and dGPU are in Turbo Boost mode.

Thus, you won't be able to do much (such as using a more powerful power supply) if the motherboard manufacturer has set a limit on the input current (A).

Some of these components can be programmed through the SMBus interface. Perhaps a future firmware update could optimize and improve this behavior.

Thanks @eGomes i think it got worse with a recent BIOS UPDATE, games run smothly on 1.31v BIOS update. I think the laptop only needs 1 or 2 more A to eliminate the problem.

Is there any way to contact the developers or a mailbox where I can send this as a BUG and they can address it? I think it's not that complicated to fix in an update, or this directly depends on the hardware and not the software or BIOS programming.

And again thanks for your response
