Hi, I have an Acer Aspire A317-52, and I would like to know if there are other ways to enable/disable the touch pad key without using the F7 key? I believe for some models it is the equivalent F10 key. I am using an external keyboard, and there is no F key for the touch pad. Here is a screenshot of the icon.

Thank you!

To disable/enable the touchpad without using the F7 key or another function key, you can access the Touchpad settings through the Windows settings menu. Open the Settings app (Windows key + I), navigate to Devices > Touchpad (or Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad on Windows 11), and toggle the Touchpad switch to On or Off.

Click on 'Yes' if the comment answers your question!

    Hi Jack,

No it is not the same touch pad, it has nothing to do with this one. The touch pad in settings is always on: I turned it off to see if it would indicate that the touch pad is off, with the touch pad icon I put as images in my post, but it doesn't do anything.
