Acer Nitro ANV15 – BIOS Locked After Update | Generated code.txt from USB | Need Unlock Help

Hi Acer Community,

I’m using an Acer Nitro ANV15, and after a recent Windows or BIOS update, I discovered that my BIOS is suddenly locked — even though I never set any BIOS password.

The laptop itself works fine — I can still use Windows and everything else without issue. But access to BIOS is completely blocked. I wanted to enable virtualization to run other operating systems and tools, but I’m stuck.

When I followed the on-screen prompt and inserted a FAT32 USB drive, it generated a file called code.txt. Apparently, this is used to generate a decryption/unlock key.

Unfortunately, Acer Nepal’s support and local distributor haven’t responded, and I don’t know how to proceed from here.

Here's what I've done so far:

Formatted a USB as FAT32
Inserted it during the BIOS lock screen
Got a code.txt file generated
But now it needs a decryption to get unlock code,

Has anyone here:

Sent this file to Acer and successfully received an unlock key?
Found a way to bypass or reset the BIOS password safely?
Got in touch with global Acer support who actually responded?

This seems to be happening to other users as well, and it’s worrying — especially for people like me who never set a BIOS password in the first place.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏

🔐 We can’t assist with password-related issues on the forum, including BIOS unlocks. These are security-protected by Acer and require official support channels.

🧩 If BitLocker is enabled, you may want to disable it first — it can sometimes interfere with recovery processes.

🛠️ Since Acer Nepal hasn’t responded, your best option is to visit a certified repair shop in your area. They may be able to escalate the request or assist with the unlock process directly.

📁 The code.txt file is part of Acer’s internal unlock procedure. Only Acer support can generate the decryption key — there’s no safe or legal bypass.
