Hello,

I have an Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 with the following specs:

  • Model: PHN16-71
  • Manufacturing Year: 2024
  • CPU: Intel Core i9-13900HX
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070
  • Display: 16" WQXGA (2560×1600), 165Hz, 3ms
  • Storage: 1TB SSD
  • Original RAM: 16GB DDR5 5600MHz (2×8GB)
  • BIOS Version: latest version

I upgraded to Kingston FURY Impact 64GB kit (2×32GB, 5600MHz, CL40) and now the laptop does not boot — only a black screen.

I tried:

  • Both sticks installed → black screen
  • One stick (32GB) installed alone → black screen
  • Reinstalled old RAM → works fine

My questions:

  • Does the PHN16-71 support 2×32GB = 64GB DDR5 RAM?
  • Is Kingston FURY Impact compatible, or should I try another brand/model?
  • Should I instead downgrade to 32GB total (2×16GB) from the same Kingston series?
  • Is Kingston FURY Impact compatible, or should I try another brand/model?

Thank you for any help or official specs confirmation.
