Hello Acer Team and Community,

I am using the Acer Nitro V ANV15-51 laptop, and I have been facing a persistent issue since the BIOS version 1.26 update.

After this update, the GPU fan speed automatically throttles up to high RPMs (7000–8000+) even under normal temperatures and low GPU usage (15–25%), especially in 'Auto' mode. This results in excessive noise and unnecessary wear, affecting daily use and productivity.

I have recently updated to the latest BIOS v1.31 from Acer’s official website hoping it would fix the fan control problem. However, the issue still remains unresolved. The fan continues to ramp up aggressively without any real workload or thermal need.

---

🔧 Key Information:

Model: Acer Nitro V ANV15-51

Current BIOS Version: 1.31

Issue Started From: BIOS 1.26

Problem: GPU fan RPM spikes to max with minimal usage, making the system loud.

Attempted Fixes: EC reset, BIOS update, NitroSense configuration – no result.

---

🙏 Request:

Please forward this issue to the Acer BIOS/EC engineering team to release a BIOS/EC update that properly manages GPU fan speed based on real thermal/load conditions.

This issue has been reported by several users across forums and platforms. A fix would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your attention and support!

Best regards,

Manas. Mitra
