Hii everyone

My acer laptop is aspire 7 version and the issue is that it is not turning on.

Everytime i press on the power button:

The power indicator blinks for 4-5 times but the pc won't turn on. Neither the keyboard not the screen shows up anything..

At first there was actually nothing happening, so i tried pressing on the power button for around 15 second and the keyboard will blink once but the pc didn't turn. It repeated this every time I pressed the power button for 15-30 seconds ....but now the power indicator on the right blinks 4 times and pc still not turning on…

I have also tried pressing the power pin on the back of the pc but it doesn't seem to solve the issue and the acers support ppl aren't picking up my calls at the moment... So someone pls just help me out !!!

    👋 Hey @Sanya134340 ,

Thanks for the detailed report — very helpful for narrowing things down.

🔍 Here’s what your Aspire 7 A715-51G behavior points to:

    • The power LED blinking 4–5 times suggests the system is trying to start but hitting a fault before POST completes.
    • The fact that no keyboard or display activity follows confirms it's not reaching BIOS — likely a power delivery or board-level fault.
    • Since you previously had no signs at all and now get LED blinks, the system’s EC (Embedded Controller) may be attempting a recovery cycle — not uncommon on this model.

🛠️ What you can try now:

    1. Remove any external devices (USB, HDMI, etc.), and try a basic AC-only boot — no battery.
    2. If possible, hold the power button for 60 seconds with AC disconnected to clear EC logic (different from a 15-second soft reset).
    3. Plug in again and see if behavior changes — even a new LED pattern or keyboard flash tells us something.
    4. If the battery’s accessible, check if it’s swollen or aged out — this model was released in early 2023, so if it’s been under heavy use, battery degradation could trigger startup faults.

Last resort before a service call:

    • Try booting with an external monitor connected, just in case the panel’s failed but POST is successful.
    • If the keyboard briefly lights up but there’s no fan spin or sustained LED, it may be a power rail fault or a failed VRM — common after surges or battery failure.

Let us know what you're able to test — even small changes in behavior after these steps could help pinpoint whether it’s EC firmware recovery, battery controller lockout, or deeper board damage. 👍
