Do I still need to install the Serial I/O driver and touchpad driver after installing Windows, connecting to the internet, and completing all Windows Updates? (ANV15-51-51U8)

Hey @Villio , cool setup! Since you’re now running Windows 11 24H2, most of your drivers should auto-configure via Windows Update and the built-in provisioning stack — no need to manually install unless specific features are missing.

🧠 Important Exception: Make sure to update your BIOS to v1.26 (Released: 2025/04/17). This version includes an EC (Embedded Controller) fix that stabilizes peripheral handling and resolves some thermal misreads reported on earlier firmware.

You can grab it here: 👉 Acer Support - Nitro ANV15-51

💡 Why it matters: Without this EC update, some fan curve adjustments and power delivery tweaks from newer OS versions may not behave correctly. BIOS 1.26 bridges that gap, especially after jumping to 24H2.
