My Acer Perdator Helios 300 laptop has had its screen flickering several times, and everyone online says it's a broken screen or the cable, if it's flickering in the BIOS.

But the truth is, I just updated the Nvidia driver and logged into GeForce Experience for GeForce to configure the installed driver.

If I update the driver and don't log into GeForce Experience, the screen will continue to flicker.

Solve the problem:

  1. Install the latest Nvidia driver.

You can use the free version of Driver Booster to install the latest Nvidea driver.

2. Restart the laptop; the flickering will continue, which is normal.

3. Open the GeForce Experience program that comes pre-installed on the laptop and log in or register.

4. On the  GeForce Experience, top right, there's a gear wheel that's the settings button. Just click it and the screen will automatically stop flickering.

This happens because the GForce Experience program takes the driver installed on the notebook and applies it to the GForce.

I hope this helps, as many people buy new screens without really needing them.
