I upgrade a friends Acer Predator 3000 P03-650 case & heatsink a few days ago. Antec Flux Pro with Thermelright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO.

Just a slight upgrade in cooling, space and quality . I don't have figures of exact temps now but he was reporting CPU was easily 90-100 degrees in moderately warm UK climate. No major issues in the transfer over however

  1. The stock PSU cables for CPU are a bit short so I had to mount the PSU 90', cables pointing to the moterhboard panel. With the PSU mounted the standard way with cables pointing forward the 2 CPU cables could not reach the top of the motherboard. I would recommend having a pair of CPU extension cables if doing a case swap.
  2. The Acer RGB is 4 pin, so any addressable 3 pin RGB on the CPU fans would not function
  3. A front panel extension cable (individual cables) was required to convert the Antec front panel block to the old style individual two pin cables. I used power and reset
  4. 6 pin to SATA power cables were required to power the built in fan hub.
  5. USB-C and USB -3 on the case do not function due to lack of header connectors on the Acer
  6. Aerial on the M2 wifi card are hard mounted to the Acer case, so you'd need to buy new ones (or forcibly remove the ones in acer case)
  7. Stock backplate was glued on so take your time removing that, using a hairdryer to soften the glue will help.

Reported quieter and cooler running by a fair margin.

Ensure case is deep and motherboard tray is flat and has space where that little sticking out front I/O is, since this board is deeper than regular ATX, I've seen a couple of other cases where it will cause an issue, they're deep enough but a case side panel protrudes inward causing a problem.

Luckily the raised area of the case is just far enough not to cause problem with the USB ports

Maybe it would be better to flip the bottom fans to intake, so they push air into the GPU instead of creating low pressure near the GPU's blower?

And for the lighting, I ended up using the Fractal Design Adjust R1 RGB. It works independently without a motherboard and remembers the last mode when the PC is powered on. There aren’t that many modes, but it was enough for me.

Sorry, I didn’t notice at first that two of the fans are reverse. So everything’s spot on! Great job!

They are intake- they're just reverse blade fans. It's the Antec Flux Pro
