I have two Aspire 6930 laptops from December 2008. They will run under Linux Mint 22.1 Xia, but the issue at hand is that I just want to update and refresh my system BIOS first, as they have never been flashed since new.

Put in the Serial Number, got a response that "Serial number not found." Put in the SNID, got an answer that "SNID not found." Does Acer disown their machines when they reach a certain age? I don't need 2025 drivers for my 6930s, only the last BIOS that Acer had for these Aspires. Why does Acer claim that my laptops don't exist? Most infuriating, as I also have a 2008 HP and a 2015 Dell, and I had no trouble downloading the latest published BIOS and flashing the motherboards in those. Any ideas on what to do would be welcomed.
