BIOS Update for Aspire 6930. Says that "Serial number not found." Any ideas on what to do?

I have two Aspire 6930 laptops, bought both of them in December 2008. I wouldn't trade them in for a new one being sold today, no way. I will run things under Linux Mint 22.1 Xia, but the issue here is I simply wanted to update and refresh my system BIOS first, they have never been flashed since new.

Put in the Serial Number, got a response that "Serial number not found." Put in the SNID, got an answer that "SNID not found." Does Acer disown their machines when they reach a certain age? I don't need 2025 drivers for my two loved ones, Dear Acer, only the latest BIOS that you ever had for these Aspires. Most infuriating, as I also have a 2008 HP and a 2015 Dell, I had no trouble downloading the latest BIOS and flashing my mobos in those. Any ideas on what to do?
