I have 2 monitors on a docking station: one an Acer HA220QQ, the other an ACER SB220Q.

The HA 220Q has no problem. THE SB220Q does randomly, since being connected to the docking station, randomly turns on and off for a second or 2. Tried making it the primary display, happens occasionally. Tried making it secondary display, same thing.

Windows 11 is the OS.

Made sure the resolution and refresh rate are the same. Doesn't seem to matter. (1920x1080, 60Hz) also happens at 1920x1080 50Hz.

HA220Q is HDMI, SB220Q has HDMI to displayport adapter; happens even if I switch those around or have both as displayport (my dock only has one HDMI, and 2 displayport jacks)

HA220Q is a workhorse, had it since 2019; SB220Q is new-er (a couple of years old).

I'm at my wits end.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Sounds like a power issue. Try a different power cable or outlet. If it keeps happening, it might be a faulty monitor or power supply.

Thanks for the response. I'm not sure it's the power supply, as the monitor does not actually turn off.

Perhaps, more precisely, the SB220Q just goes black for ~1 sec, but the power light stays on.

I've considered it might be the dock (faulty port or the like) but it doesn't seem to matter whether it is plugged into the dock as an HDMI or Displayport (or, in the case of Displayport, which DP port is used). Perhaps the only other way to isolate is to plug into the laptop HDMI port (which of course defeats the purpose of the dock) and see if it continues. I'd hate to have to replace the dock, as it was $200+; then again I'd hate to have to replace the monitor just to isolate the problem to the dock.

    Frustrating.
