ACER Nitro V16 Can't Run NOX, enable VT first even though VT has been activated

Hi everyone,

I’m using an Acer Nitro V16 laptop, and I’m having trouble running the NOX emulator. NOX keeps showing the message “Please enable VT (Virtualization Technology) first” even though I have already enabled VT in the BIOS.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Verified that VT (Intel VT-x) is enabled in BIOS
  • Checked using tools like Intel Processor Identification Utility, which confirms VT is active
  • Reinstalled NOX emulator
  • Disabled Hyper-V in Windows
  • Updated to the latest BIOS version

Despite this, NOX still refuses to start and keeps giving the same VT error.

    Welcome @lambertofn,

Check that the firmware of your Nitro V16 is updated with the latest available version:

Try also, disable these Windows components in addition to Hyper-V:

    • Windows Sandbox
    • Virtual Machine Platform
    • Windows Hypervisor Platform

It's time to say "goodbye" to the Acer Community. I'll be ending my participation soon. Thank you all! 👋😉
