Aspire TC - 1785-QUERY REGARDING DRIVER UPDATES.

I am what people call a silver surfer and am lost in all the jargon used in computers.

I recently bought an Acer Aspire TC - 1785 and set it up myself a couple of weeks ago.

I now have looked at the manual and it states to download updates for drivers and manuals.

When I do this after downloading it does not say this is done and disappear from list.

Is this normal because I fear that I will be downloading the same updates in a few weeks' time when I check again.

Are all these updates absolutely necessary or will my computer still be ok if I don't download them??

I do. Sooner or later you'll be forced to update.

Safe Mode gives you an option to roll it back.

NEVER INTERRUPT by powering down .

Just allow Windows Update to do them for you. As each is installed it will disappear from the list, and that is perfectly normal.
