I just purchased this.

Internal camera stopped working after a day. The external USB camera works fine.

I am writing to report a persistent issue with the internal webcam on my Acer Swift Go 14 laptop. The system detects the camera, and the camera light turns on when activated, but it consistently shows a black screen with no video feed in any application, including the Windows Camera app and Zoom.

Troubleshooting steps I have already taken:

  • Reinstalled and rolled back camera drivers, including switching to the generic UVC driver
  • Tested in clean boot mode with all third-party startup services and applications disabled
  • Fully uninstalled applications known to interfere with webcam access (e.g., Filmora, Adobe Character Animator, Bitdefender, Zoom)
  • Verified privacy and security settings in Windows
  • Confirmed the camera is not blocked by Bitdefender antivirus or system policies
