Acer Swift X laptop model number N20C12

hi, so my mom spilled water on her laptop earlier today (just water, nothing sugary or anything) and she immediately turned it off. my sister and mom put it in rice, a few minutes later i came in, told them not to use rice in the future and cleaned out the rice. i then did some googling and reading forums on here and figured i should open up the bottom to take out the battery and make sure it was dry. so i opened it up carefully, took dry tissues and cloths and gently patted around to get any water out. while i was at it i was cleaning up any dust, took tweezers and removed any clumps of dust/hair around the fan area. i didnt realize the battery couldnt fully come out until i unscrewed it to check, but i dried beneath the battery and around it. after like two hours of staring around the inside of the laptop, using my phone light to completely get any excess water out, i screwed the fan + battery back in and made sure everything was in the correct place. i put the bottom cover back on after taking a couple isopropyl alcohol wipes and gently cleaning out the interior and exterior. i screwed the bottom cover back on and tried turning on the laptop. the keyboard turned on right after i lifted my finger from the power button, but the screen remained black. i held up my phone flashlight to see if the screen was on but just really dark, and nothing. checked the brightness buttons too. by now im feeling like i did something wrong, so i force shut down the laptop by holding the power button until the keyboard light shut off. i take off the bottom cover again to examine the interior and everything looked to be in the correct place. put it back on yada yada and try turning it on again. nothing but black screen and illuminated keyboard, not even the fan turning on. now im reading forums on the acer website, trying to see if anyone else had the same problem and got a solution. i follow the steps on some forums, one of which being hold down the battery reset button for 30 seconds. after i tried that i turned on the laptop again and luckily for me the fan turned on for like a second as opposed to before the battery reset where it didnt. however the screen is still black and keyboard is still lit up.

my mom assures me that the screen was working after she spilled water on it cause she had to go in and shut everything down quickly. leading me to believe something i did while taking it apart caused the screen to not function properly.

i tried a few other troubleshooting methods but still nothing. now im here trying to find a way for the screen to turn on properly without sending the laptop to tech support cause the laptop would have to be wiped and factory reset.

is there any way for me to get the screen to work without shipping it to tech support? im afraid its the only solution at this point.

edit: additionally in the past few weeks the laptop has had this issue of the keyboard turning on but the screen remaining dark (this has happened twice within the past 2-3 weeks) but fixes itself after a forced shutdown and power on. dunno if its relevant to my problem or not.
