Hello veterans !!

I’m using a laptop running Windows 11 (64-bit). The USB port on the right side of my laptop (and only that port) has stopped working. Whenever I plug in any device, I get an error message.

I’ve already tried reinstalling the chipset and I/O drivers, but that didn’t resolve the issue.

Please help!

Yes, these situations can sometimes happen. Please try whether that port works on the bios screen. In other words, what you need to do is connect a USB keyboard to that port and try commands such as forward, backward, up, down or enter on the bios screen.

    Step 1
If the keyboard works on the DOS screen/BIOS screen, there is a software problem. Please send your computer model for the USB/Chipset software and tell us which processor it uses, and we will provide the necessary solution.

If the keyboard works in the BIOS screen, please send me the model number or part number. I will send the necessary software.

    Step 2
If you did these and did not get any results. You need to have a repairman's skill! Please turn the computer upside down and remove the back cover. You should see the motherboard! Whichever USB port it is, please spray contact spray (volatile, oil-free) there and clean it with a toothbrush. Both inside and the area. Then try again.

If it does not work, check if there is a short circuit?
If none of these solutions work, a new USB port needs to be purchased and soldered.

The biggest reason why the problems are not solvedis if someone who says there is a problem with the GPU says; If I change the case, will the problem be solved? That's the whole point! The concepts are different! We should not go off topic.

    Hi @SemihB ,
    Thanks for your quick answer,
I tested the USB port in the BIOS as you suggested, and unfortunately, the keyboard does not work there either. So it seems like this is a hardware issue, not a software one. right ?

Yes then it is hardware failure. Please clean the oxidation if there is any. Try again in bios screen (F2 while PC is starting) If it is still the same. Please read step 2. If you are not able to do step 2 go to a computer service.

If you do not want to deal with computer service or if the cost is high, buy and use the USB hub below.
