AI Activity Indicator (on Touchpad) stays ON during Sleep mode in Acer Swift AI Copilot 14 AMD

Since the latest Microsoft update, I’ve noticed that the AI Activity Indicator remains ON at various times, even when no AI-related applications are in use.

Strangely, the indicator continues to show activity even during Sleep mode, which seems unusual.

Could the system be processing voice commands by unintentionally picking up surrounding noise? I haven’t been able to identify any specific processes utilising the NPU.

For reference, my laptop is only two months old—Acer Swift AI Copilot 14 AMD.

I’d appreciate any insights or troubleshooting steps you can provide.

I have the same problem. Even though I've had the laptop for 6 months this is the first time the AI animation on the touchpad has lite up. I'm not using the co-pilot and the glowing symbols on the touchpad are giving me the [Content removed]! How to turn it off!?

I read the manual and determined how to turn the AI Activity Indicator (on the Touchpad) on and off.

    1. Press the "a" button (top right) on your keyboard. This is the Acer Sense Key.
    2. Click personal settings then select Touchpad
    3. Enable/disable the AI Lighting Effect
