Hello.

My OEM battery health was at 82% with a cycle count of 362. On a 100% charge, I'd get about 4 ½ hours if using it as I normally do. The battery is four years old, I figured it was time for a change.

Remove old battery, blow out the dust in the fan, brush everything and install the new battery. No issues. New battery was at 28%, charged it to 100% and unplugged it. Ran a discharge test, passed. Restarted the laptop.

However, when the battery was at 100%, it said my battery level was 2 hours remaining. It has since been revising up and down. It was at a high of nine hours, then revises to six hours or four on and on. My guess is that I will have to do a hard reset on the device and it will fix the issue. First, I am going to drain the battery completely and recharge it.

Anyone have any ideas? I did my homework and got, presumably, a good battery (it was identical to the Acer, though not OEM).

Just try a simple step of uninstalling the battery driver and restart the laptop
