I have had my acer nitro V for about a year now and every few weeks the nitrosense software just stops working, and then after about 5-6 days whenever there is a new windows update, it would start working again.

Each time it just shows me options for stuff that i don't have, such as giving me the option to select lighting effect, my keyboard is a static colour with only brightness adjustment. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app maybe a dozen times over the last year or so.

Without fans being set to max, my games start chugging at a snail's pace with almost constant frame drops. If possible can i use a 3rd party fan control software ? I have tried notebook fan control but that doesn't work for me.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Model: Acer Nitro V

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS with Radeon Graphics

Graphics: Nvidia RTX 3050

To ensure NitroSense works properly on your Acer laptop, you should start by restarting your computer, then try reinstalling the application. If the issue persists, consider rebuilding Windows performance counters or uninstalling and reinstalling the software. You can also check for and update drivers, especially if you've recently updated Windows. Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:

    1. Basic Troubleshooting:

    • Restart your computer: A simple restart can often resolve temporary software glitches.
    • Reinstall NitroSense: Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of NitroSense can address corrupted files or outdated versions.
    • Update drivers: Ensure your graphics drivers and other relevant drivers are up-to-date.
    • Check for Windows updates: Make sure your Windows installation is up-to-date, as updates can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.

    2. More Advanced Steps:

    • Rebuild Windows Performance Counters:If the issue involves performance metrics or monitoring, rebuilding the performance counters might help. This can be done using the command line, as described on Acer's Community forum.
    • Check for Antivirus Interference:Sometimes antivirus software can block NitroSense from running properly. Temporarily disable or temporarily remove your antivirus to see if that resolves the issue.
    • Check for BIOS Updates:Ensure your BIOS is up-to-date, as outdated BIOS versions can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
    • Check for Microsoft Account: Ensure your Windows installation is activated with a Microsoft account.
