acer predator PHN16-71 make crackling noise when plug in the charger?

I have a year old acer predator helios neo 16, specifically PHN16-71. I bought it in a different country, with which I was given a different charger but the voltage is the same 230V in both countries. After moving, I hear this crackling noise whenever I plug in the charger, first I thought its the speakers, then the battery. I have checked and crossed out all the possible faulty components. I tried using a different charger from someone who has the same charger as I do and there was no crackling noise anymore. I now believe its the charger issue. Could it be a result of using a surge protector or a faulty charger pin?
