I have an Acer Predator PHN16-73 and when I was on discord I noticed that the input option was the computer built in microphones only (which appear as Intel smart sound Technology). Later I confirmed in the sound settings that it wasnt being recognized as an input device and only as an output device. After searching through the internet I still couldnt fix this. Is there something i can do to fix this or does it need a software update?

Thank you in advance.

You are already using your headset mic. It is NOT a separate item.

Plug in your headset, your computer will ask you "which device did you plug in". Select "headset" and that's it. If your computer doesn't prompt you, then go to realtek audio console to select "headset".

To verify that you are using your headset mic, lightly tap your headset mic - the signal meter for the Intel smart sound technology microphone array will jump.
