Hello,

I'm experiencing a persistent screen flickering issue on my Acer Nitro AN515-54-563Y. In addition to the flickering, there's a thin horizontal line of dead pixels that runs from one end of the screen to the other.

I’ve already tried:

  • Updating both Intel and NVIDIA graphics drivers
  • Checking Windows updates
  • Adjusting the refresh rate and display settings
  • Booting in Safe Mode
  • Testing with an external monitor (which shows no flickering)

The external display works fine, so it seems the issue may be with the laptop screen itself or its connection.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be a hardware issue like a loose cable or a failing display panel? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Uninstall the Intel® UHD Graphics 630 driver completely in Device Manager and allow windows update to install the compatible Intel driver for your AN515-54 laptop (as the AN515-54 does not have the oem Intel graphics drivers used in the Acer support page) as that Intel driver would be the suitable driver to initally install.

Those screen lines, flickering and dead pixels are symptoms from the Intel graphics driver, as not all new Intel drivers are compatible with your Intel® UHD Graphics 630 chip and these new drivers do cause those symptoms. If its not the driver, then its a hardware issue where its either the eDP cable or the actual screen that is faulty and needs replacing. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
