How do I flash the bios onto my Aspire 5 A515 57G using another laptop and USB drive

Hi,

My laptop charges and turns on however the fans spin up for a second and the area around the CPU and RAM heat up to a ridiculous temperature and then the whole laptop shuts off after a while. And nothing shows up on the laptop screen or an external monitor. The laptop does make a beep the moment I turn on the laptop and disconnect the charger at the same time. So I assume part of the BIOS still works.

I wanted to know if there was a way to flash the bios using another laptop and a usb drive, since I couldn't find methods myself.

(Also the laptop is under warranty, however i wanted to try reflash the bios before sending it in as a last resort)

Hi, flashing BIOS with a USB stick is not recommended as this may brick your laptop, take the laptop to Acer Services in your country to install BIOS version 1.30 from 2025/02/06 free of charge or for a small service fee.
