My laptop is the i5 4200m gt750m 16Gb 500Gig Samsung evo ssd acer aspire v3 772g.

After unsuccesfully trying to install a "beast" external graphics card adapter i reinstalled the original wifi card but my laptop doesn't recognize it anymore..

I had used :"DDU" To uninstall drivers..

But in device manager even under :"hidden devices" my wifi card doesn't show up..

Otherwise no problems with my laptop as far as i know and am now using a usb dongle to recieve wifi succesfully..

Can you help my find the cause of my problem?

Is it software or did i ruin my pcie slot?

Tried resetting the bios by removing the button cell battery and Made a complete new install of Windows 10 and stille no wifi card working..

I would be very happy if it can be fixed because this laptop is the only i could afford so i would do a lot to fix it!

Might it be worth it to buy this mobo to fix my laptop and upgrade it from gt750m to gt860m?

I took the wifi card from this pcie slot and replaced it without it being recognized anymore:(

Please delete both wifi and graphics adapter software and restart the PC. Please send us the hardware IDs of your graphics adapter and wifi card. I will provide you with the most suitable driver.

Type device manager in the Windows search box and open it. In the hierarchical list that appears, select the devices from the "display adapters" and "network adapters" sections and see the hardware IDs in the details tab.

The biggest reason why the problems are not solvedis if someone who says there is a problem with the GPU says; If I change the case, will the problem be solved? That's the whole point! The concepts are different! We should not go off topic.

Hi, the Acer Aspire V3-772G does not support USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) for connecting an eGPU card. Disconnect the eGPU card and boot to Safe Mode (see link) in DDU click on Clean and restart (see picture, red arrow) and Windows will reinstall the dGPU driver or it will be offered as an optional update when you Check for updates. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-startup-settings-1af6ec8c-4d4a-4b23-adb7-e76eef0b847f
