If you haven't changed the paste since the laptop was new, then completely clean the old paste off the cpu and off the thermal module and replace it with new paste. Also use a laptop multi fan cooler and make sure that the bios is update to the last version. As an 11th Gen cpu should not overheat to the temps that you are showing even in gaming or extreme usages. Doing all this will reduce cpu and gpu temps. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

What are you doing on your Extensa 215-54 when those temperatures are reached? The slow down is likely caused by thermal throttling. Turbo boost shuts off at 85C and full throttling turns on at 98C.

To address the high CPU temperature and performance slowdown on your Acer Extensa 215-54, focus on improving cooling and airflow. This involves cleaning the laptop, ensuring proper ventilation, and potentially upgrading components.
    Elaboration:
Clean the Laptop: Dust and debris can accumulate inside the laptop, hindering airflow and causing the CPU to overheat.
Remove all debris: Thoroughly clean the vents, fan blades, and heatsink using compressed air and a soft brush,
Be careful: Avoid using excessive force or damaging any internal components while cleaning.
Improve Airflow: Ensure the laptop is placed on a hard, flat surface that allows for proper ventilation. Avoid placing it on soft surfaces or in areas with restricted airflow.
Consider a Cooling Pad: A laptop cooling pad can help improve airflow and lower CPU temperatures.
Monitor CPU Temperature: Use monitoring software to check CPU temperatures while running tasks.
Limit Tasking and Close Background Programs: Reduce the load on the CPU by closing unnecessary programs and applications.
Update Drivers: Ensure all drivers, including graphics drivers, are up to date, as outdated drivers can sometimes cause performance issues and increased heat.
Upgrade RAM (If Applicable): If you are running memory-intensive tasks, consider upgrading your RAM. This can improve overall system performance and reduce the CPU's workload.
Upgrade to an SSD (If Applicable): If you are using a traditional hard drive, upgrading to an SSD can significantly improve overall system performance, reducing the CPU's load.
By addressing these points, you can improve the cooling performance of your Acer Extensa 215-54, potentially resolving the high CPU temperature and performance slowdown.
