Hello there, recently i v got a problem with my GPU FAN, it is making loud noises and works rly bad. I was searching for a new one in my country (Ukraine, we bought laptop in Germany). I found a lot of marketplaces that sells same FAN for my laptop, but all of them have 1A. Is it risky and acceptable to change FAN from 0.5A to 1A with same 12V? Model of my laptop is Predator Helios 300 PH317-55-70S1. Thank you. (sorry for bad English)

Hi @hyperkinesys the most important thing is the volts, in that case there's no problem because both require 12V.
As for the amperage, i.e., the power consumption, although the difference is only 0.5A, the 1A fan will work correctly at low speeds, but it's possible that when it needs to work at maximum speeds and requires 1A, it won't be sufficient and won't be able to spin at 100%, only running at 60/80%.
Have you tried looking at fans for your equipment on Amazon?

    Amazon.pl : PH317-55 fan

It's possible, but I already mentioned the only drawback.

Also, remember that it must be the same model to avoid problems installing it.

Have you tried going to a technical service center that usually has spare parts for damaged equipment but still has components that work properly, such as the fan?

Also, contact Acer in your country; they may be able to suggest a technical service that can help you.

Thank you for your answer. I was trying to find it on Amazon, but sadly i found only one with 12V and 0.5A, but it is problematic to deliver to Ukraine something from Amazon, and the price is 55 dollars
    :(.
99% of FANs i checked for my laptop have 1A and 12V, that is why i was thinking is it possible to replace 0.5A with 1A.
