Hey all, I have run into a problem. I had to format my system and I didnt have a copy of my acer predator system so i used me lenovo laptop to make a dootdisk. I used that and ofcourse it didnt go as i had planned. I have lost all access to the lights and fans in the tower, predatorsense. Where can i find the fight files to make the proper bootdisk to use and restore my pc to factory and normal function.

You say you lost access to your tower lights with the predator sense program. This program is available in the acer download section.

    Acer Offical Download

Please provide us with your computer brand and model.

The biggest reason why the problems are not solvedis if someone who says there is a problem with the GPU says; If I change the case, will the problem be solved? That's the whole point! The concepts are different! We should not go off topic.

You should start with a clean Windows install if you no longer have access to the original Acer image (and if you didn't create a recovery flash drive before the first big Windows update, you won't have that any longer). Download the Windows install from Microsoft and flash it to a thumb drive. If you have an Intel based model, also download the IRST drivers from the Acer support site and extract them to a folder on that installer. Boot into the BIOS and enable the boot menu, then use it at boot time to select the install flash drive. When the install gets to the point where it is asking you where to install, if your drive isn't visible load the IRST drivers. Once you see the drive, clean it by deleting all partitions then install to the unallocated space. The install process will create all needed partitions. When done you should be able to get Windows started and setup.

Now, do all Windows updates, including optional ones, and keep doing that until there is nothing else showing. Then open Device Manager to see if there are any errors or warnings. If there are that can point to a driver that needs to be downloaded from Acer, but there usually aren't. Only after you get to that point do you want to go ahead and install the Acer specific utilities from the support site, under Applications. Once the utilities are installed you should be able to deal with lights and fans as you did before.

It's always helpful for us to know what computer you have before asking these types of questions, since the process might be different for different models… Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx.
