I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 model laptop. My laptop shut down while running on battery with the battery running out. When I plug my laptop into the charger, the charging LED lights up but my laptop does not turn on.
My laptop does not have a battery reset pinhole. I tried to reset the battery by pressing and holding the power button but it did not work.

Try a Different Power Outlet. Unplug the laptop and charger from the current wall outlet. plug into a known working power outlet. Make sure the charger is plugged directly into the wall, not through a power strip or extension cord. Try turning the laptop on again.

Is the charging LED solid amber/orange or blinking?
    Solid: Usually means charging.
Blinking: May indicate a battery issue.
Does the fan spin or do you hear any noise at all when pressing the power button?

Even though you did a basic hold, try again Unplug the charger. Hold the power button for a full 60 seconds. Do not release early. After that, plug the charger back in, but do not press the power button yet. Wait about 1 minute, then press the power button once.

Leave It Charging for a While. Let it charge for 30–60 minutes uninterrupted. If the battery drained completely, it might take a while before there's enough power to boot.

    Thank you for your response.
I tried plugging it into another outlet. same result.
the charging LED is solid orange.
I don't hear any sound when I press the power button. the fans are not spinning.
I tried pressing the power button for 60 seconds and then plugging in the charger and waiting and then pressing the power button again. no change.
I have left it on the charger since yesterday but the result is the same.

Try to reseat the battery. Remove the battery, press the power button for 60 seconds. Leave the laptop for 30 minutes unplugged. Then reconnect the battery, plugin the charger and power on the laptop. Here's the steps to disconnect and reconnect the battery.

Disconnect the AC Adapter and remove all cables from the system and its peripherals.

Remove the eleven (11) screws securing the lower case to the upper case. Starting from the upper side, pry to release the upper side latches, following the direction arrow. Continue releasing the remaining latches. Then remove the lower case. Detach the mylar and disconnect the battery cable from the mainboard connector.

Re-connect the battery cable to the mainboard connector. Then attach the mylar. Align and install the lower case on the upper case. Press firmly the upper side edges until they snapped into place. Continue pressing firmly the remaining upper side latches until they snapped into place. Press firmly the side latches until they snapped into place. Attach the eleven (11) screws to secure the lower case.
