After clean install of win 11 the audio did not work on A315-59-384Q

Laptop: A315-59-384Q

When i wanted to clean install Windows 11, i installed all drivers from Acer → my products drivers page. Everything works but audio just refuses. I did everything i thought of.

There were 2 drivers listed for Realtek.

Result installing first one: as if nothing happening shows no audio output, it's hidden in Device Manager, here I tried troubleshooting audio, nothing happened, and I tried uninstalling and installing many times.

Result installing second one: audio shows on taskbar I up the volume and tried YouTube and nothing, then I tried troubleshooting, and it did find something but said it's unable to fix it.

I dont know what to do. I did windows updates all of them, it found stuff for Realtek but it's still a no. But it doesn't work before or after the update.

Any clever idea and solution will be appreciated.

Just wanted to inform that the only fix that worked was to again clean install windows and let windows update do its thing without touching acer website.

If Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) isn't installed properly or conflicts with Windows 11, audio will vanish completely.

Reveal Hidden Devices
Open Device Manager. Click View → select Show hidden devices. Expand Sound, video and game controllers. See if your audio device is greyed out or hidden. Right-click and uninstall everything related to audio. Do the same under System Devices if you see “Intel Smart Sound Technology” or “High Definition Audio Controller”. Restart your PC. Check Windows Services. Press Win + R, type services.msc, press Enter. Find and ensure the following services are running:
Windows Audio
Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
Plug and Play
RPC Endpoint Mapper

Few laptops often use Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) as a bridge between hardware and Realtek/other audio codecs. If this isn't installed properly or conflicts with Windows 11, audio will vanish completely.
In Device Manager > System Devices. Look for "Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) Audio Controller" or similar. If it's missing or has an error (!), download the Intel SST driver:

Search for Intel Smart Sound Technology Audio Driver for Windows 11
OR try this direct Intel SST driver package
Install and restart.

Did it all i can't make it work.

So, i tried with both audio drivers.

I uninstalled everything in sound, video and game controllers. Installed acer driver for audio, restarted and nothing. Then i checked windows services which are all running. Then i saw that in system devices there really was a "!" so, I removed it and tried to look for it on intel website and whatever intel smart sound I type, I simply can't find it. I rebooted and intel smart sound was installed by windows I guess, and there's no "!" anymore but still no sound.

In most of the cases involving audio problems, audio drivers can be the main root cause. You can try following suggestions if audio driver is causing an audio problem on your system:

Are you able to decrease F2 key and increase F3 key the volume using the Function key?
Shift-Restart and go into safemode without networking. test for audio then.

Run Playing Audio troubleshooter. This in-built tool can find and fix audio problems automatically.
Open Settings app and go to System. Under System, go to Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Click on Run next to Playing Audio troubleshooter. In few moments, you will see that Playing Audio troubleshooter has found some problems and fixed them. If troubleshooter found some issues but can't fix them, continue following other methods mentioned here.

Right click on the Start button or press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
Under Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers or section where audio devices are listed.
Locate your audio device/driver and double click on it. Verify if the device status is ‘This device is working properly’. If there is some error code with the device/driver.

Disable audio enhancements: If previous methods were not helpful, then you can try disabling audio enhancements and see if it helps. Go to Settings > System > Sound. Click More sound settings. On Sound tab, select your primary audio device and click Properties. On property sheet, go to Enhancements tab. Check Disable all enhancements. Click Apply, OK.

Once again select sound, video, and games controller section in device manger select "show hidden options" button. Delete the Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) audio controller and the Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED, restarted your laptop, They reinstall themselves. Now check if the issue is resolved after the reboot.
