I see other threads on the exact same subject but I am bringing this to attention again.
I phoned Acer in the Uk and they claim they've never heard of this issue and of course I am out of warranty.
The issue as follows
- The screen was on and working, then started to fade black over a 5 second period.
- The blue power light remains on and it looks like the backlight is on
- Pressing the buttons on the monitor does not bring up any menu options.
- I was able to revive the monitor by unplugging everything, holding the power button for 60 seconds and plugging everything back in. This worked for about 5 minutes before it died again
- I am now unable to revive it.
