AN515-58-Why are there no mandatory sections in the bios? How can a laptop with 2 m2 sockets not be

I bought 2 SSD, installed them in my laptop. I went into the bios, and there is no option to put them in a raid. It's just not there. How can a laptop with 2 m2 sockets not be able to put them in a raid?

I found a person on the forum with the same model who had the opposite situation, he bought a laptop with 2 m2 SSD in raid 0, and he could not disable it, because there is no item in the bios

There is also a problem with RAM, I have 2 sets of ddr5 64gb, with xmp profile for 4800, and not a single set can run on the laptop, the problem is not in the memory, everything is fine with it, the laptop automatically sets the timings too low, and I can't go into the bios and correct the timings, there is no such option again. Okay, there is a system in the laptop that automatically tries to select the timings, why does it go into xmp and adjust something there, and even twist it downward, there are really cases when you need to set a few more values, but not less, especially when the user is not able to go in and manually correct the parameters that the system has selected automatically?

There is no RAID setting in the bios of the Nitro 5 AN515-58 laptop, see this guide "How to Set Up RAID in Windows 11: Free Software Options" and follow that. Also, the AN515-58 has 2x M.2 SSD Gen 4 x4 drives. For the fastest M.2 SSD Gen 4 x4 drives, also see the SSD Benchmarks Hierarchy 2025 tested drives as a guide to the fastest Gen 4 drives of 1Tb 2Tb and 4TB that they tested.

With the AN515-58 ram, this laptops 12th Gen cpu's has a max ram designed capacity of 64GB (2x 32GB into each slot) 2x 64GB DDr5-4800MT/s XMP ram will not work as only the normal DDR5-4800MT/s CL40 type ram works, so buy this type of ram, that is why the 2x 64GB DDR5 XMP ram that you have does not work, see the specs below. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

Acer memory specs for DDR5 ram is 32Gb max but this laptop with the DDR5 rm will also work at 64Gb at 2x 32GB DDr5 type ram like shown above.

Software methods of creating a raid do not provide for installing os on disks depleted in a raid

If only DDR5-4800MT/s CL40 is supported, then let him install cl40, the RAM that support cl38 will work on cl40 without any problems. No, it writes the first 4 timings as in XMP, and underestimates the rest, so much so that Windows does not boot, its boot ends with a blue screen

Yes, these RAM were tested in another device that sets all the timings as prescribed in XMP, and there are no problems

I don't see what the problem is with giving users access to the standard bios settings that PC users have even on the cheapest motherboards.

I came to the forum with specific problems

    1. There is no way to enable raid in the bios, while the function is available in this model, there is just no such item in the menu, it is hidden or cut out
    2. There is no way to manually configure the timings of the RAM in the bios, and the automatic setting works very poorly, so for the RAM to work, you need to look for a good RAM that can work at lower timings than the manufacturer intended.
