Hi everyone,

I'm using an Acer ALG (AL15G-52) laptop with an Intel Core i5-12450H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 (4GB) dedicated graphics. However, when I launch games like F1 22, only the integrated Intel UHD Graphics (GPU 1) is being used. The dedicated RTX 2050 (GPU 0) remains idle even during heavy gameplay.

Here's what I’ve already tried:

  • Set the preferred GPU to High-performance NVIDIA processor in the NVIDIA Control Panel (both globally and per game).
  • Updated all drivers via NVIDIA GeForce Experience and Acer’s support site.
  • Checked Device Manager – both GPUs appear with no errors.
  • Set the .exe to use the RTX GPU via Windows Graphics Settings.
  • Restarted after every change, but still no effect.

I also checked Task Manager → Performance tab → and confirmed that only the Intel GPU is being used during games.

Is there something I’m missing?
Does this model need a specific BIOS setting or firmware update to enable proper GPU switching?

Any help would be appreciated — thanks in advance!
