What is your Acer model device model number, so that we can advise you more precisely? As you need to check in Device manager if any of the drivers are not corrupted and have an exclamation yellow icon next to them, as that means that the driver needs updating.

If a USB-C port is working intermittently, try these troubleshooting steps: check for damaged cables or ports, update drivers, and reset the USB stack. Also, ensure proper power management settings in Device Manager and explore solutions like resetting BIOS settings or contacting support for hardware-related issues.

    1. Check for Physical Issues:
Inspect the USB-C cable and port for any visible damage, such as bent or broken pins.
Use compressed air to remove dust or debris from the port.
Try a different USB-C cable to rule out cable-related problems.
If the port is loose or damaged, consult the device manufacturer's support or a professional repair service.
    2. Update Drivers and Software:
Go to Device Manager, expand "Universal Serial Bus Controllers," and update the drivers for USB Root Hub and USB Host Controller.
Ensure your operating system and BIOS are up to date.
    3. Reset USB Stack:
Unplug all USB devices except the keyboard and mouse.
Go to Device Manager, expand "Universal Serial Bus Controllers," and uninstall all USB devices under this category.
Restart your computer to allow the system to reinstall the USB drivers.
    4. Check Power Settings:
Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
Change the power plan settings to disable USB selective suspend and save changes.
