I have a Swift Go 14 Snapdragon X Plus laptop. Can I safely charge this laptop with my IQOO 120-watt mobile charger? I have already tried it, and it charges the laptop swiftly. I want to know if it is safe to charge a laptop using a mobile charger or not.

Charging your Acer Swift Go 14 laptop with an IQOO 120-watt mobile charger might not be ideal. While the wattage is sufficient, compatibility depends on the following factors.
Ensure the charger provides the correct voltage and current required by your laptop. Mismatched voltage can damage the device. Verify that the charger has a compatible connector (e.g., USB-C) and supports Power Delivery (PD) for laptops. Check if the charger has built-in safety features like overvoltage and overcurrent protection.

If the IQOO charger meets these criteria, it should work. However, using the original charger or a certified replacement is always safer to avoid potential risks.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Hi, not recommended to go over 100W for PD as that is the maximum limit for Thunderbolt4, 100W laptop USB-C chargers will provide 120W temporarily for fast charging (1 hour) but then fall back to 100W basic charging. Get a good laptop USB-C charger like this one: https://store.acer.com/en-us/100w-adapter-kit-with-power-cord or this one https://rog.asus.com/power-protection-gadgets/chargers-and-adapters/rog-100w-usb-c-adapter-model/ available at Amazon.

Using your IQOO 120W mobile charger to charge your Swift Go 14 Snapdragon X Plus laptop may work, but it’s not recommended due to potential risks. Mobile chargers may not provide stable voltage regulation, leading to overheating, battery degradation, or inconsistent charging speeds. For safe charging, it's best to use Acer’s official charger
