If your Acer laptop camera stopped working in low light after a recent update, try rolling back the camera driver or reinstalling the driver.
Open Device Manager and locate your camera. Right-click on the camera, select Properties, then "Driver" tab. If Roll Back Driver" is available, choose it and restart your laptop. If rolling back doesn't work, try uninstalling the device in Device Manager with the option to delete the driver software and then scanning for hardware changes to let Windows reinstall the driver.

Reset Camera App: Windows Settings: Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Camera. In the Advanced Options, Select the Camera app and click on Advanced options. Reset: Choose Reset to give the app a fresh start.

Ensure there's no privacy shutter blocking the camera lens. Check for any background programs or browser extensions that might be using the camera.

Check Privacy Settings, Windows Privacy Settings: Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera and make sure "Let apps access the camera" is turned on. Check your antivirus software settings for any restrictions on camera access.

Since this particular issue appeared after installing an update, please consider rolling back the update:
In the search box on the taskbar, type control panel, and then choose it from the list of results
In the Control Panel search box, type recovery.
Select Recovery > Open System Restore.
In the Restore system files and setting box, select Next.

Then to prevent the update that is causing the problem to reinstall, you can download the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter to prevent that update from reinstalling.

You can also uninstall the Windows command prompt, type:
    wusa /uninstall /KB:UpdateID
Replace 'UpdateID' with the KB number of the update you want removed.

For example, if the update’s ID number is KB4573019, type:
    wusa /uninstall /KB:4573019
into the command prompt window, then press Enter and follow the on-screen prompts. Let WUSA uninstall the update; it will tell you when it’s complete or if any errors occur during its operations. You may then have to restart your computer so the uninstall process can be finished.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

    Try these fixes:

    1. Try disabling and enabling the camera from settings.
    2. Roll back the drivers.
    3. Open the device manager and then click on the camera to update the camera drivers.
    4. Open the camera app and click on the rest option.
