If your Acer Extensa 2510G won't turn on, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Inspect the Charging Port: Check if the charging port is loose, damaged, or obstructed by dust or debris. Clean it gently with a soft brush or compressed air.
Test the Charger: Ensure the charger is functioning properly. If possible, try using a different compatible charger to see if the issue persists.

Check the RAM: Improperly seated or faulty RAM can prevent the system from booting. If you're comfortable, open the back panel, reseat the RAM, or test with a different module.
Reset the BIOS: If the laptop can boot to the BIOS, check the settings to ensure nothing is misconfigured.
Overheating Issues: Let the laptop cool down if it feels hot. Clean the vents and fans to ensure proper airflow.

If none of these steps work, it might be a hardware issue, and you may need professional assistance.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

    OK, which light shows, exactly?

At 10-11 years old you would expect battery problems, but that should affect the charging circuit itself. What should happen when you plug the charger in is the battery indicator will light up amber and stay that way until the battery is fully charged. The power light shouldn't come on at all until you turn the system on.
