To install the gadgets; RAM and internal drive, should I disconnect the battery after disconnecting the power?

When installing or upgrading internal components like RAM or an internal drive HDD/SSD in your Acer Aspire A315-24PT or E5-576G, you should first shut down the laptop, disconnect the power adapter, and open the back panel. To ensure safety and prevent electrical damage, disconnect the internal battery by carefully unplugging its connector from the motherboard—this eliminates residual power and reduces the risk of short circuits. Ground yourself by touching a metal part of the chassis to discharge static electricity before handling components. Install the RAM or drive carefully, ensuring proper seating and connections, then reconnect the battery, reassemble the laptop, and power it on to verify the new hardware is detected. This precaution helps protect both your laptop and the new components during installation.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊
