SF314-42-R9YN Audio Issues, no audio coming from speakers but audio through Bluetooth works.

So for a few months, I have been having some audio problems with my Swift 3. At first it was just the speakers. No audio was coming from them, not even the startup sound. I have tried numerous drivers, troubleshoot, assistance, updates, restarts, and nothing has worked. Audio through Bluetooth worked until today (well I found out about it today at least), when I tried connecting my earbuds, no sound was coming from them, but they could connect. There are no noticeable physical issues with my laptop. It doesn't appear broken, and I've never dropped or spilt anything on it. Anyone know what could be wrong? Anything I should try doing?

Please try the below mentioned instruction.

Double-check Output Device Settings, Sometimes Windows defaults to the wrong output.
Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar → Sound settings. Under Output, ensure the correct device (speakers or Bluetooth) is selected. Try toggling between them and test audio.

Remove & Reinstall All Audio Devices, You may have done this already, but do it cleanly:
Press Win + X → Device Manager. Expand Sound, video and game controllers. Right-click all audio-related entries → Uninstall device. Check the box to delete the driver if it appears. Restart your laptop. Windows should reinstall the default drivers automatically.

Install OEM Audio Drivers from Acer website SF314-42

Test with a USB Audio Device. Plug in USB headphones if you have one. If those work, it strongly suggests your internal audio hardware is malfunctioning.

If you're still stuck, and want to rule out OS/software issues 100% — consider a reset Windows to factory settings. Just make sure to back everything up first.

Given Bluetooth now also isn’t working, it could mean The audio chip itself is failing Or a motherboard component tied to sound might be going bad.

If it’s still under warranty, I'd recommend getting it looked at or contact a professional technician to check the issue.

@Sharanji unfortunately none of that worked and my laptop's warranty expired 2 years ago.

Does the sound settings show you the option of using Speakers as the output device? Is it called "Speakers" or "Speakers (Realtek Audio)"? Knowing that might help with diagnostics. What other software do you have installed that didn't come with the laptop originally? If the issue were with the speakers only we could potentially look into hardware issues with where they are connected to the motherboard, but since it now also affects Bluetooth it's more likely software.

@billsey It shows Speakers (Realtek Audio) as the output speaker. I have installed some drivers from Realtek and Acer that were supposed to be for audio on Windows 10 but have long since uninstalled those. The only drivers and updates I go by now are the ones through windows updates.

The audio drivers in your Swift SF314-42 model laptop are associated with both the AMD Vega7 graphics driver and the Realtek audio driver, so both of these drivers need to be functioning properly and not be corrupted.

You need to completely uninstall both of these current drivers and then reinstall the first and inital drivers that Acer had for your laptop. Btw, be aware that Acer oem support drivers site have taken down all these two drivers, for some strange reason and they are not available for your laptop.

So go to a 3rd party site that has legitimate and working drivers like HelpDrivers that have available 37 files for your Acer SF314-42 model and get the first oem AMD graphics driver and the oem Realtek driver that Acer installed first in your laptop and install them as they should make your laptops speakers and BT work, as then windows update will update these drivers to the most compatible versions. Also make sure that you have the last bios version 1.11 installed, as then you will have audio both to your Bluetooth sound device and the speakers.
