Very strange, I was looking for this for an answer, so I joined your forurm 10 mins ago.
Put my five cents in it as I found the answer. Then needed to update my post so use the three dots and edited my post. I was able to do it once but the second time clicking on save did not seem to do anything. This is because it did not do anything! When I reloaded the topic, Only my first edit seem to be there but not the second and I noticed a that "this topic was closed"
I don't understand what happened.
Regarding that topic

I said I also problem with displaying a menu instead of switching off the monitor. But being persistant with trying suddenly it did switch off… It seems that when you display a menu you push that tinny joystick to the left to exit the menu and keep trying to push it for 5 second eventually it will switch the monitor OFF.
And to wake it up; again push that joystick 5 second or so, the blue light will be back on and the word ACER will show up with gradual intensify brightness. This is when you release the button and the display will be back.
So you get and answer but my question would be why my first post (or reply to a post) was so strange…
PS: I do have problems with fora, but keep trying :)

Very strange, I was looking for this for an answer, so I joined your forurm 10 mins ago. Put my five cents in it (as I found the answer doing so). Then needed to update my post so used the three dots and edited my post. I was able to do it once but the second time clicking on save did not seem to do anything. (This is because it did not do anything!) When I reloaded the topic, Only my first edit seemed to be there but not the second and I noticed a line that said "this topic was closed"I don't understand what happened.

    Now, regarding this topic.

I said I also had problem with displaying a menu instead of switching off the monitor. But being persistant with trying, suddenly it did switch it off… It seems that if you display a menu you push that tinny joystick to the left to exit the menu and keep trying to push it for 5 second eventually it will switch the monitor OFF. (I don't know or understand what could be different when you push that joystick that makes it display a menu or switch your monitor off) But, to wake it up; again push that joystick 5 seconds or so, the blue light will be back on and the word ACER will show up with gradual intensified brightness. This is when you release the button and the display will be back on.

So you get my answer as well and my question would be why my first post (or reply to a post) was so strange… Oh yes, regarding this topi, why we get that uncertain result when pushing that joystick?

BTW. You'll find this joystick in the vicinity of the blue light, but at the back of the monitor and about your fingers lenght when reaching up under your monitor.PS: I do have problems with fora, but keep trying :)

PS: You'll probably notice that this post is very similar to the one before. This is, again, because when I found some mistakes, I tried to edit it. But it came with 'some Vanilla editing error' that I did not have; and so it would not update. So I copied it, and posted it here…
What I have; is no idea what it is about.
