Why does my Acer Predator X32 X3 monitor drop from 240Hz to 144Hz at 1440p/1080p resolution?

I just bought this Acer Predator X32 X3 OLED monitor. It's very nice, but if I play a game and set the resolution to something lower than 4K (like 1440p or 1080p) it drops from 240Hz to 144Hz. How can I make it run at the full 240Hz?

And I'm not talking about the Dual Mode feature. If I switch to 1080p on the monitor's menu, I will get 480Hz at 1080p. I'm talking about running in the normal 4K 240Hz mode, and switching to alternate resolutions.

I just noticed that in the list of supported display modes, 144Hz is listed higher than 240Hz. So my assumption is that when the display mode switches to 1440p (Or 1080p or whatever) the top listed resolution/refresh rate combination takes precedence. Is there a way to modify the monitor driver so that the 240Hz mode becomes the priority?

By the way, if anyone at Acer is listening, I've spoken to 2 different agents on chat, and they were both completely useless. How can I get some real help here?

Ok, after a lot of research and trial and error, I've discovered a "fix". It's not really a fix, so much as a workaround. I assume the firmware on the monitor needs updated to fix this issue, but in the meantime, you can do this:

If you have a Radeon GPU, go into Adrenalin and enable "GPU Scaling". This will force 4K signaling to the monitor, and use the GPU to scale down to other resolutions. Since 4K will run at 240Hz no issues, this seems to be the way to go.

0/10 for Acer support. Hopefully this monitor sees some updates in the future.

To try and figure it out we need to know the full model number of your monitor. X32 X2 doesn't give us enough information. When I go to Acer's site and look at the X32 models I'm shown two that are currently available in the US:

See all those letters after the X32? That defines all the features installed on your particular model. Needless to say, I don't see an X2 model there, but the X2 might be a special for a different reseller or just out of stock.

It's the Acer Predator X32 X3, as stated in the title. And there's only one monitor with that name.
